Pakistan cricket captain Mohammad Rizwan has donated his wicketkeeping gloves and shirt to the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) Museum, adding to the venue’s rich cricketing memorabilia.
Rizwan made the donation after Pakistan’s T20 match in Sydney. The SCG Museum administration expressed gratitude for the contribution, emphasizing its importance in celebrating the sport’s legacy.
This follows a similar gesture by former Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who donated the bat he used in the 2022 T20 World Cup final to the Melbourne Cricket Ground’s Long Room.
The second match of the ongoing three-game T20 series between Pakistan and Australia was held on Saturday in Sydney, where Pakistan suffered a loss. The series concluded with a whitewash as the Green Shirts faced another defeat in the final T20I.
Despite the disappointing results, Rizwan’s donation highlights the spirit of cricket and the lasting connections it fosters between players, fans, and historic venues.
