The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is poised to appoint wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan as the vice-captain of the national team.
Sources reveal that skipper Babar Azam, along with the coaching staff and selection committee, have thrown their support behind Rizwan for the role.
The right-handed batsman is expected to retain his position as vice-captain even after the conclusion of the Pakistan vs. New Zealand T20I series, as the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup is on the horizon.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in the second game of the five-match T20I series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium today, April 20th.
