After winning their respective semifinal matches contested at Jinnah Polo Fields on Friday, Master Paints Black and Remington Pharma advanced to the Corps Commander Polo Cup main final sponsored by Diamond Paints.
Master Paints Black defeated FG/Din Polo in the first semi-final of the day by a score of 8–712. The victorious team’s hero was Manuel Carranza, who scored an incredible six goals while Agha Musa Ali Khan, a replacement, added a brace. For FG/Din Polo, who had a one-goal handicap advantage, Tomas Marin Moreno scored six goals and Farhad Shaikh added one.
In the second semi-final of the day, Remington Pharma outlasted Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel with a score of 612-6. Ahmed Zubair Butt and Ahmed Bilal Riaz each scored one goal, while Hamza Nawaz Khan emerged as the star with an incredible four goals. Nicolas Antinori scored five goals while Mir Huzaifa Ahmed scored one for the losing team.
The ongoing Corps Commander Cup, which is sponsored by Diamond Paints, saw its semifinals in front of a sizable crowd at the Jinnah Polo Fields. A huge number of families, including CEO of Diamond Paints Mir Shoaib Ahmed, Director Mir Huzaifa Ahmed, JPF President Lt Col Shoaib Aftab, Major Babar Mehboob Awan, and others, attended this event.
