KARACHI: According to the artist behind the graphic, the official poster for an upcoming Ms. Marvel television series represents the Pakistani heritage of the show’s first Muslim superheroine.
The series, produced by Marvel Studios, is based on Marvel’s iconic comic book of the same name.
It stars Pakistani-Canadian teen Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a Pakistani American girl from New Jersey, and Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is co-director.
Marvel published the official poster for the series on Wednesday, featuring artwork by Pakistani illustrator Shehzil Malik.
