Former actor Naimal Khawar Abbasi is helping the Palestinians during difficult times when the Israeli government is causing harm in Gaza and the West Bank. She’s using her social media to talk about the bad things happening and sharing her new artwork, which is a tribute to the mothers in Gaza.
Her art is dedicated to all the moms and children in Gaza who have been hurt by Israel’s harsh actions. She mentioned on Instagram that her recent work is part of an exhibition called “Wajood-e-zan,” which is curated by Sannia Bilal. You can see it at the Haam Gallery in Lahore.
When she created this artwork and worked on it for months, she wanted to honor the strength and beauty of the women in her life, especially celebrating motherhood.
Naimal Khawar Abbasi, along with other individuals, has been expressing strong condemnation of Israel’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank. She dedicated her recent artwork to the women of Gaza, particularly the mothers, and has pledged that all proceeds from the piece will go to charities providing aid to Gaza.
The situation in Gaza is dire, with many lives lost due to the conflict, and she, like many others, has been calling for a ceasefire and raising awareness about the situation.
In another post, she wrote, “Awareness is resistance. Gaza is dying. Keep sharing, protesting, donating, and praying.”
