Nasa has affirmed that its Perseverance wanderer has prevailed with regards to gathering its first stone example on Mars.
Nasa said last week it thought it had achieved the accomplishment, however, dim photos taken by the meanderer implied that the group working on the mission were unsure whether the example had remained inside its cylinder.
It needed to retake the photos in better lighting, yet sending back the information can require a few days.
“With better lighting down the example tube, you can see the stone centre I gathered is still in there,” said Nasa in the new tweet, adding that the following stage would seal this cylinder and putting away it.
