ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is commemorating the 148th birth anniversary of its founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with a spirit of patriotism and unity. Special ceremonies and activities across the country are highlighting his vision for a progressive and democratic Pakistan.

The day began with an elegant changing of the guard ceremony at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi, accompanied by prayers in mosques for national progress, prosperity, and unity. A 21-gun salute was held in provincial capitals, and the national flag was hoisted on prominent public and private buildings.

Events Across the Nation

Exhibitions, debates, conferences, seminars, and cultural programs are being organized to honor Quaid-e-Azam’s life, struggles, and achievements. These events aim to inspire citizens to embrace his ideals of inclusivity, justice, and equality.

Tributes by Leadership

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt tributes to Quaid-e-Azam. President Zardari emphasized the need to uphold Jinnah’s vision of social justice, economic equity, and the rule of law.

“To realize his dream, we must prioritize youth education and uplift underprivileged communities,” the president remarked while highlighting Jinnah’s efforts in advocating for a separate homeland for Muslims where they could practice their religion freely and safeguard their rights.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described Jinnah as a leader of unparalleled determination and foresight, noting his unwavering commitment to the principles of unity, faith, and discipline.

“As we celebrate this day, we draw strength from his legacy and reaffirm our dedication to building a prosperous and inclusive Pakistan,” the prime minister stated.

A Timeless Legacy

The Quaid’s historic address to the Constituent Assembly on August 11, 1947, continues to serve as a beacon for the nation, emphasizing unity and equal opportunities for all citizens. On this day, Pakistanis nationwide reflect on his contributions and pledge to work tirelessly toward his vision of a strong and united Pakistan.

The celebrations mark not only a tribute to the founder but also a renewed commitment to the values he cherished.
