Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Friday said Pakistan has received $5665.83 million in aid and loans from April 11 to September 30, 2022.
He revealed the data at the current National Assembly (NA) session, which is being presided over by Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
According to Ayaz Sadiq, throughout the current administration’s tenure, Pakistan has received $5665.83 million in loans and aid from the international community.
He said $5609.9 were received on account of loans and $55.92 million as aid.
Earlier, the National Assembly was informed in categorical terms that the country faces no risk of default.
During the question and answer session, Minister of State for Finance Aisha Ghaus Pasha stated that the country was in a challenging situation when the current coalition government took office since the IMF program had been suspended.
She said we have revived the IMF program while improvement is being seen in exports and remittances are also pouring into the country.
The state minister further said the investors are showing interest in investing in the country as a result of our reforms.
