Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), returned to Pakistan after four years in London. He clarified that he didn’t want to seek revenge against his political rivals. Instead, he called on all government institutions to work together for the country’s progress.
Sharif, who served as prime minister three times, launched his party’s election campaign upon arriving in Islamabad. He also filed appeals against the convictions that led to his imprisonment before his departure from Pakistan in 2019.

Former Prime Minister and Supremo Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Sharif Arrives in Lahore after 4 years. After arriving in Islamabad on Saturday, he returned to Lahore’s iconic Minar-e-Pakistan monument to speak at his homecoming rally.
To showcase their political strength and commemorate their leader’s return, the PML-N has organized an enormous rally at the Minar-e-Pakistan grounds. Party members from all over the country have gathered at the venue, along with spirited supporters from their areas.
The Minar-e-Pakistan grounds, as well as different spots in Lahore, have been decorated with vibrant electric lighting.
Prominent figures, including Maryam Nawaz, have already joined the rally, and Nawaz Sharif himself has reached Lahore from Islamabad. He received a warm welcome from his brother, Shahbaz Sharif. He was then transported to the historic Shahi Fort by helicopter.
Nawaz Sharif will travel from the Shahi Qila to Minar-e-Pakistan by car, and a stunning fireworks show lasting over 10 minutes will light up the rally venue upon his arrival.
For the safety and health of the rally attendees, the Punjab government has set up two mobile hospitals. One of these facilities, made from two large containers, is situated near Gate No. 4. It’s fully staffed with medical experts, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, and has a wide range of medicines available.
