Dr. Umar Saif, the caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, has disclosed that the CEO of the Scandinavian cellphone giant Nokia is due to visit Pakistan soon.
Wille Eerola, Consul General of Pakistan in Finland and Chairman of the Finland-Pakistan Business Council met with Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Dr. Umar Saif on Tuesday.
According to a news release, during the meeting, both leaders discussed items of mutual interest as well as challenges connected to expanding IT exports.
According to Dr. Umar Saif, there are numerous potentials to increase Pakistan’s IT exports to Scandinavian countries.
He stated that the CEO of Nokia would be visiting Pakistan shortly and that Nokia 4G phones were being built in Pakistan.
“5G and 6G technology would be discussed with Nokia CEO during his Pakistan visit,” he stated, according to the state-owned APP.
Wille Eerola welcomed Dr. Umar Saif on his appointment as Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications.
