Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Noor Alam Khan, expelled by the party, has made the decision to join Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) on Saturday. In an upcoming press conference, Noor Alam Khan is expected to officially announce his affiliation with JUI-F.
Sources close to the development disclosed that JUI-F Provincial Ameer Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman will visit Noor Alam Khan’s residence this evening. Furthermore, it has been revealed that Noor Alam Khan intends to contest the National Assembly election on the JUI-F ticket.
In relation to the upcoming general elections in 2024, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has completed the necessary work on the schedule.
According to sources, the draft schedule includes the collection of nomination papers in the second week of December 2023, with scrutiny scheduled to conclude by the third week of the same month.
The commission aims to finalize the deputation of returning officers (ROs) in the first week of January 2024, while the publication of the final list of candidates is expected in the third week of January 2024.
