Nor Diana, who is only 22 years old, has accomplished a lot. As the first hijabi wrestler in history, she has broken barriers in the sport, when she never believed possible when she started her wrestling journey at the young age of 14.
Nor has been improving since she debuted in the Malaysian wrestling world in 2014, but her big moment came in 2019 when she faced off against four guys and won the Malaysia Pro Wrestling Wrestlecon Championship.
Since then, she has established a name for herself as an influential female wrestler, and she has even made it onto the Forbes 30 under 30 lists.
She goes by the ring name “The Phoenix,” which represents her never-ending drive and determination to be the best version of herself and to win repeatedly, despite whatever obstacles she may encounter. Even though wrestling might be challenging at times, Nor’s love for the sport never wanes thanks to her coach, supporters, and admirers all across the world.
She hopes to not only continue breaking down barriers in the wrestling world as a hijab-wearing Muslim woman, but to also inspire other Muslimahs to achieve their own dreams, no matter how far-fetched they may seem.
