The National Security Committee (NSC) meeting was postponed due to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s journey to Turkiye to attend Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s inaugural ceremony.
According to the details, the meeting scheduled for today (Friday) has been rescheduled. All three armed forces’ heads, federal ministers, and committee members were expected to attend the meeting.
The new date for the NSC meeting has not yet been confirmed.
Officials resolved at their most recent meeting to press legal proceedings against people who damaged private and military property during the May 9 protests. The conference also strongly condemned the violent events and agreed to take legal action against those who caused damage to private and military installations.
Officials highlighted that attacks on security and defence institutions are unacceptable, as is military property damage done under the guise of achieving political objectives.
