Arshad Sharif, a prominent journalist, and the newscaster was killed, and Pakistan will establish a judicial panel to investigate the case Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif decided Tuesday.
The Pakistan Army wrote a letter to an inquiry commission for a detailed investigation of the senior journalist’s death by Kenyan police in a letter to the government.
The letter also requested legal proceedings against those who are casting aspersions/ accusations, as per the constitution of Pakistan.
Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb shared that as per the PM’s decision, the judicial commission will be headed by a high court judge and assistance can be taken from members of the media and civil society.
According to the information minister, the PM made this choice in order to ascertain the true facts behind the journalist’s murder.
