Cadets from the Pakistan Navy’s sailing team achieved a remarkable feat by winning the silver medal at the 79th International Naval Academy Sailing Competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Competing in the prestigious J24 boat category, which is featured in global competitions such as the PanAm Games and World Sailing Games, the Pakistan Naval Academy (PNA) team secured second place among nine teams from countries including Brazil, China, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, and India.
The Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) of the Pakistan Navy shared that the team captain attributed this success to the rigorous training provided by the PNA. This accomplishment follows their first-place victory at the International Sailing Championship in Sri Lanka just three months ago, highlighting their consistent excellence.
Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, commended the cadets for their outstanding performance and praised the PNA faculty for their commitment to achieving international standards of excellence.
