Kane Williamson, the captain of New Zealand, lauded Babar Azam highly for his “excellent” batting abilities.
Babar presently holds the top spots in all three of the game’s formats, making him one of the best batters in the entire world of cricket.
Although Babar has scored runs in every format, he frequently receives criticism for his low strike rate.
Williamson was glowing in his admiration of Babar. Williamson told the reporters, “He is a terrific player,” following his team’s 2-1 ODI series triumph at the National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA).
“Every time he comes out, he looks exceptionally well. He is a world-class player, having the ability to take the game away from the opposition. He has different gears and he showed it every time, even in this series too,” added Williamson.
Babar has amassed 828 runs in 12 games over the past 12 months, including three centuries. Babar scored 149 runs in three games of a three-match series against New Zealand.
To win the series 2-1, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by two wickets. New Zealand maintained their top spot in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League after winning the series, while Pakistan is currently in third place.
