Pakistan, is a country where people of different faiths live together in peace and harmony, and have liberty to celebrate their festivals.

TOP 4 RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS CELEBRATED IN PAKISTAN

1. Holi (Hindu festival)

Holy festival is celebrated at the arrival of spring, the end of winter season. It lasts for a night and a day, starting at the evening of full moon, which falls around the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar. It is the “Festival of Love” or the “festival of Spring”. On this festival people smear each other with colours.

2. Christmas (Christian festival)

Christmas is celebrated on, 25th December, the birthday of Prophet Eesa. On this day, Christians, display Christmas decorations: Christmas tree, lights, garlands etc., and make special feasts.

3. Guru Nanak Birth Anniversary (Sikh festival)

World’s biggest birthday celebrations the birth anniversary of the Guru Nanak, is celebrated in Kartarpur, Pakistan. Pakistan has facilitated Indian Sikhs to enter Pakistan without visa, to visit Guru Nanak’s Gurduwara.

4. Eid ( Muslim Festival)

Muslims celebrate two Eids, namely: Eid ul Fitar and Eid ul Adha. Eid ul Fitar is celebrated on 1st Shawwal, according to Islamic calander. while, Eid ul Adha is celebrated on the 10th of Zil Hajj, to mark Hajj.
