The first One-Day International (ODI) of a three-match series between Pakistan and Afghanistan is scheduled to begin today in Sri Lanka.
The Men in Green will play Afghanistan in the inaugural game of the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Tournament today in Hambantota, Sri Lanka. The game will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Babar XI enters the series after thrashing the Lankan Lions in the Test series last month and defeating New Zealand 4-1 at home in the One-Day Internationals in April and May of this year. Based on prior results, the Green Shirts hoped to maintain their winning streak.
With the Men’s ODI Asia Cup 2023 approaching quickly, the three-match series is supposed to offer an opportunity for Team Green to assess the roster and plan future tactics.
