Pakistan and Turkiye have agreed to enhance cooperation in the field of drama and film. This accord was reached during a meeting on Friday in Istanbul between a team from the Turkish Film Industry and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb.
The Turkiye Film Industry also decided to launch cooperative ventures in the drama and film industries with Pakistan.
The Minister spoke at the event and confirmed Pakistan’s participation in the next Turkiye Film Festival, where Pakistani films would be screened. She said that the festival may screen the top three Pakistani movies. She stated that feasibility studies for cooperative businesses between the two nations will be done.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said Pakistan’s northern areas have enormous scenic beauty and Turkish film producers can utilize these sites in their films.
It was also decided that subjects like acting and film production will be included in the syllabus in cooperation with Turkish universities.
The delegation said that the best film processing laboratories in Holland, Turkiye, and France, working in Turkiye can provide technical assistance to Pakistan.
