Pakistan and Argentina have identified multiple areas to increase bilateral trade and investment in the next couple of years and Joint Trade and Investment Commission is working to enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors.
This was stated by the Ambassador of Argentina to Pakistan Leopoldo Franciso Sahores during an exclusive interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan.
The Ambassador said a number of Argentinian companies are keen to invest in diverse sectors including agriculture, livestock, and Pharmaceuticals.
He said that his country is ready to assist and help Pakistan to increase the per acre yield of different crops, particularly essential commodities through modern techniques and a variety of seeds.
He said that Argentina is helping Pakistan to build new modern Silos to preserve and store grains for a long time to meet the growing need of the population in the country.
The Argentinian Ambassador said that both countries enjoy identical views on regional and international issues besides commonalities at all fora.
In reply to a question, Leopoldo Franciso Sahores said Pakistan has a huge potential for investment in many sectors and Argentina is ready to exploit this through mutual agreement and for the benefit of both countries.
He said that both countries are working to increase high-level exchanges to further boost their existing cooperation and collaboration in different fields.
The envoy said Pakistan played a vital role in peace and stability in Afghanistan and also contributed significantly to humanitarian assistance in the war-torn country.
He said peace and stability in Afghanistan is imperative not only for Pakistan but also for the entire region to increase trade and development.
