Amid economic woes, Pakistan Army has decided to ‘limit’ the Pakistan Day parade which is held every year on March 23.

Pakistan’s army showcases its weapons and military capabilities as part of the celebration of Pakistan Day, which honors the passage of the 1940 Lahore Resolution.

Due to the economic situation, according to sources familiar with the developments within the Pakistan Army, the march will take place at the Presidency rather than at Shakar Piryian Parade Field.

They continued by stating that the decision was taken in accordance with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announced economic drive. According to the sources, the Pakistan Army is strongly united with the people and will continue to work for the country’s advancement.

Pakistan is facing an economic crisis and has been working for the revival of the IMF-stalled loan programme.

Staff level agreement with IMF expected in next two days: Dar

The staff-level agreement with the IMF is expected within the next two days, according to statements made on Thursday by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

The federal finance minister stated, while speaking at a conference in Islamabad, that the current government had inherited the nation’s economic disaster and was working to reverse it.
