According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army has used helicopters to rescue close to 2,000 persons from flood-affected areas all around the nation.
In the past 24 hours, 200 helicopter missions have been conducted in different parts of Pakistan to transfer rations and medical supplies as well as extract persons who have become trapped.
The military’s media wing provided an update on the rescue efforts by saying, “During the previous 24 hours, 1991 stranded individuals have been rescued and 162.6 tons of relief materials have been supplied to flood afflicted people.”
It stated that so far, more than 50,000 people have been relocated from disaster-stricken areas to safer places during the rescue operations directed by the Pakistan Army.
In the flood-affected regions of Sindh, Southern Punjab, Balochistan, and KP, 147 relief centers are open 24 hours a day for flood victims.
According to the ISPR, almost 60,000 people have received free medical care and assistance to far. Additionally, the military set up 221 collecting locations around the nation, and they have already gathered more than 1350 tons of food, medication, and other supplies for survival.
