Pakistan Army soldier was martyred in a clash with terrorists in Afghanistan on Sunday, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations.
According to the ISPR, “terrorists from within Afghanistan crossed the international boundary and opened fire on a military post in North Waziristan District.”
The military’s media wing added that Pakistan’s troops responded in a befitting manner. However, amid the conflict, 32-year-old Assistant Lance Daffadar Waqar Ali chose martyrdom. Waqar lived in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swabi’s Chota Lahore.
The ISPR reaffirmed in its statement that Pakistan has repeatedly asked Afghanistan to provide proper border control.
It emphasized that the nation strongly opposes terrorists’ use of Afghan land for attacks against Pakistan.
According to the statement, “Pakistan Army is dedicated to eliminating the threat of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further enhance our resolve.”
