The Pakistan baseball team triumphed at the Arab Classic Baseball tournament, overpowering hosts UAE with a decisive 12-1 victory in the final to claim the title and finish the tournament unbeaten. Organized by Baseball United, the competition showcased Pakistan’s dominance, with the team marking its sixth consecutive win in the final.
The match saw an intense start in the opening two innings before Pierce Khan broke the stalemate, delivering the game’s first RBI single to put Pakistan on the board. Moosa Nonomiya fueled the momentum with a home run, and by the seventh inning, Pakistan had built an imposing 7-1 lead. They continued to press forward, ultimately sealing the game with a resounding 12-1 win.
With this victory, Pakistan completed the Arab Classic with an impeccable 6-0 record, having previously defeated Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka, as well as securing two wins over the UAE. The semi-finals saw Pakistan edge out Sri Lanka 3-0 in their closest match.
In recognition of his stellar performance throughout the tournament, Pakistan’s Muhammad Husain was awarded the MVP title of the Arab Classic.
Hosted by Baseball United, the sole organization promoting baseball in the Middle East, the tournament provided a significant platform for regional talent. Pakistan’s 14-member squad excelled in the four-day competition, solidifying their reputation as the highest-rated team in the event.
