In recent days, allegations against Pakistan captain Babar Azam have inundated social media. On the microblogging website Twitter, several of his claimed discussions with a female were documented in photographs, videos, and screenshots.
According to rumors, Babar was honey-trapped and involved in sexting with the girlfriend of another Pakistani cricket player. One of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) media partners, Fox Cricket, shared an article on the incident on their official Twitter account and on their website.
“Babar Azam is being accused of allegedly sexting teammate’s girlfriend after videos of voice recordings went viral online.” wrote Fox Cricket.
PCB responded to the tweet publicly and lashed out at the Fox Sports network and said that the Australian broadcast network should have avoided ‘unsubstantiated personal allegation’.
“As our media partner, you might have considered ignoring such unsubstantiated personal allegations which Babar Azam has not deemed worthy of a response,” said PCB.
Fox sports should verify before posting stories about Pakistan’s no. 1 batsman and Cricket Team Captain Babar Azam.
