The Pakistani government announced on Thursday to plans train one million individuals in artificial intelligence (AI).
According to government sources, the Ministry of Information Technology (IT) has produced a draught AI Policy and a dedicated fund for AI and associated technologies would be formed.
The IT and telecom sectors will provide 30% of AI funding each year, and a campaign will be started to raise awareness of AI among government employees, technocrats, and other personnel.
AI will be integrated into primary, secondary, and postsecondary education. Students performing AI research will be given funding, publishing costs, and travel grants.
An overall amount of 1,000 AI research and development projects will be funded. Artificial intelligence hubs will be developed in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta.
AI technology will be applied in all industries, including agriculture, finance, and so on.
