Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Ambassador Luo Zhaohui, Chairman of China International Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), in Beijing and expressed Pakistan’s desire for Chinese investment in the ML-1 upgradation project.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for cooperation in various fields, including agriculture, IT, blue economy, communication, minerals, and mining. He assured the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan, highlighting the strong solidarity between the two nations during times of crisis.
Shehbaz Sharif commended CIDCA’s support for Pakistan during the pandemic, floods, and polio vaccination efforts. He appreciated CIDCA’s role in CPEC projects, including the Pakistan-China Friendship Hospital, Desalination Plant, and New Gwadar International Airport.
Ambassador Luo Zhaohui offered CIDCA’s support for Pakistan in Special Economic Zones and the health sector. Both sides hailed CPEC as a symbol of their ironclad friendship and expressed confidence in the continuation of CPEC phase II, aimed at improving lives and livelihoods.
