The establishment of a new medal honoring the contributions and sacrifices made by soldiers for the country’s defence has received the approval of President Arif Alvi.
According to the Awards Act of 1975, the president has given his permission for the “Pakistan Diamond Jubilee Medal 2022.”
It will be given to personnel of the Pakistani armed forces, civil forces, and law enforcement agencies in recognition of their efforts and sacrifices made in securing the country’s political and geographic borders and combating terrorism and extremism.
On August 14, 2022, the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s establishment, the new national medal created for the Pakistani armed services will go into effect.
