On Tuesday, Pakistan boosted its “deterrence” and improved “strategic stability” with a successful flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System, as announced by the military’s media.
The test was supervised by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, along with senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division and Strategic Forces Command, as well as scientists and engineers from strategic organizations.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the objective of the test flight was to verify the design, technical aspects, and performance of various parts of the weapon system.
The military’s media branch further stated that the missile system is designed to enhance deterrence and strengthen strategic stability in the region, in line with the “Full Spectrum Deterrence” concept within the framework of “Credible Minimum Deterrence.”
General Mirza commended the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment of everyone involved in the successful test.
The ISPR also noted that the president, prime minister, and service chiefs extended their congratulations to all members of the strategic forces for this accomplishment.
