With a score of 5-4, Pakistan Hockey team beat Canada in their fourth pool match. This increases their chances of contending in the final of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup happening in Malaysia. Accumulating a total of 10 points in four matches, Pakistan now has a chance to win the title.
As per the Pakistan Hockey federation, Canada took an early lead of 2 points in the match. First scored by Sean Davis and then another by Harbir Sidhu. Following this the experienced goalkeeper Abdullah Ashfaq Khan took over the goalpost, securing the net. Simultaneously Arshad Liaqat, Rana Waheed, and Ghazanfar Ali scored 3 points, taking charge of the lead.
In the 45th and then 50th minute, Sean Davis and Avijot Butter each scored a goal, recovering Canadas point deficit. However, with a relentless display of skills by the men in green, Pakistan finally secured its victory and a chance to win the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
