Pakistan will go toe-to-toe with India in the ongoing Asian Hockey Champions Trophy in Chennai, India, on Wednesday.
The Green Shirts need to avoid defeat in the match to qualify for the semi-finals. On the other hand, India has already booked their spot in the last four.
Pakistan will also qualify for the semis if Japan isn’t able to beat China during the first match of the day.
Meanwhile, Korea’s loss to Malaysia will benefit Pakistan, but qualification for the semi-finals could come down to goal difference, especially if Japan beats China.
Pakistan presently sits in fourth place in the points table after four games, with five points.
