Pakistan and Iran have agreed to boost mutually beneficial bilateral commerce and collaboration.
The Iranian Deputy Defence Minister greeted the Pakistani delegation led by Secretary Defence Lieutenant General (R) Hamood Uz Zaman Khan.
The Iranian Deputy Defence Minister conveyed his best wishes to Pakistan’s political and military authorities, while the Secretary of Defence emphasised the importance of bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran.
Both sides highlighted the importance of holding regular meetings of various institutional structures, such as the Joint Economic Commission and the Joint Trade Committee, in order to create greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
An MoU (memorandum of agreement) for maritime cooperation among border guards was also signed during the conference. The deal will improve relations between the PMSA and the Iranian border guards.
