The aviation industry in Pakistan has introduced an air taxi service officially inaugurated from Karachi. The newly launched air taxi service is designed to cater to both travel enthusiasts and individuals requiring emergency flights. Passengers can book the airplane based on hourly airfare, allowing them to travel to any location in Pakistan.
Initially, Sky Wings Aviation has introduced the air taxi service for all airports, airfields, and landing strips in Sindh and Balochistan.
CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, Imran Aslam, stated that they currently have four air taxis available for service, each accommodating three passengers. The introductory per-hour airfare for the service is set at Rs95,000. As the service progresses, it is expected to expand to cover all airports in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Imran Aslam mentioned that the air taxi service has already received interest from individuals seeking emergency travel within Sindh and Balochistan or those interested in pleasure flying for an aerial survey of Karachi and its surroundings. Reservations for the air taxi service have commenced, and interested individuals can reserve the service through the organization’s website.
According to Aslam, the launch of the air taxi service marks the realization of a dream in Pakistan. He highlighted the potential use of the service for aerial surveys of the mangrove forests along Karachi’s coastline.
