Prime Minister Imran Khan says Pakistan is leading the world on climate action with achievement of the highest climate co-benefits through a number of green initiatives on the ground.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said the World Bank has also endorsed Pakistan’s vision with 2021 lending data.
Imran Khan also shared a graph showing Pakistan’s World Bank commitments and climate co-benefits (CCBs) during fiscal year 2021.
The data shows that a total of 1.635 billion dollars CCBs were achieved in Pakistan in fiscal year 21 which represented 44 per cent of the total 3.696 billion dollars financing approved for the country.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam, on his twitter handle, said the climate vision of Pakistan is about real concrete action on ground.
