Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests Indigenous Ship-Launched Ballistic Missile

The Pakistan Navy has achieved a significant milestone by successfully testing an indigenously developed ship-based ballistic missile, the Director General of Public Relations (DGPR) of the Navy announced on Tuesday.

According to the DGPR, the missile is outfitted with advanced navigation and maneuvering capabilities, capable of striking both land and sea targets with precision up to a range of 350 kilometers. The test was witnessed by the Chief of the Naval Staff, alongside senior Pakistan Navy officers, scientists, and engineers who contributed to its development.

The accomplishment was widely applauded, with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman CJCSC, and other service chiefs extending their congratulations to the Navy’s scientific and engineering teams for their exceptional achievement.

This follows the Navy’s successful test of FN-6 surface-to-air missiles in July, where the GBAD system effectively targeted airborne threats. Additionally, in May, the Pakistan Navy deployed the warship PNS ASLAT in the Indian Ocean, reinforcing its commitment to safeguarding merchant vessels.

The Pakistan Navy remains a key force in regional security, consistently advancing in technology and strategy to protect the nation’s maritime boundaries.
