Pakistan Navy’s eighth multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-23, is beginning in Karachi tomorrow.
Over fifty nations participated in the five-day drill with ships, planes, Special Operations Forces Marine teams, and observers.
Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami, commander of the Pakistan Fleet, gave a press briefing on the exercise and explained that it was separated into port and sea phases.
According to him, the exercise aims to provide a venue for understanding marine concepts and operational cultures, improve interoperability, and identify strategies for fending off common maritime dangers.
