Pakistan defeated Bhutan on Wednesday at the Dashrath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal, to qualify for the final of the SAFF U19 Championship.
After regulation, the game ended without a goal, and the winner was determined by a penalty shootout.

Earlier, Pakistan qualified for the competition’s semi-final on Saturday after an exciting match against the Maldives finished in a 1-1 tie in Nepal.
The Men in Green got off to a strong start but struggled a lot in front of goal. In the first half of the game, the Green Shirts were unable to capitalise on their opportunities. Maldives took full advantage of their opponent’s errors and blunders to score a spectacular outside-of-the-boot goal in the 39th minute of the game to give them a commanding lead.
Maldives led 1-0 at the end of the first half, and it appeared that this result would hold up for the remainder of the game. The tenacious Maldives defence continuously thwarted Pakistan’s advances, but the Green Shirts finally had their chance late in the contest when Shah Jahan scored and celebrated by pulling off his shirt.
Pakistan defeated Nepal 1-0 in their opening game, snapping a 12-year winning streak in international competition.
With four points from two games, Pakistan finished first in group B.
India is the current champion after defeating Bangladesh in the final to win their second championship in 2022.
