Pakistan Railways revealed on Friday that two additional trains would begin running on the Lahore-Rawalpindi route on September 16 and 19.
According to the notification, both trains would offer AC, Standard AC, and Economy classes.
The trains would run on the Lahore-Rawalpindi line with stops at the railway stations in Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Chaklala, according to a railway spokesperson.
The government had previously declared that after the floods subsided, operations will restart on several routes. As the flood waters in Sukkur receded, Pakistan Railways announced on Thursday that train service on the Sukkur-Lahore route would resume on September 10.
The department decided to resume running trains on the Lahore-Sukkur route, according to railroad officials. Additionally, routes to Rohri from Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar would be reinstated by September 10.
According to a Pakistan Railways announcement, the Khyber Mail would leave Rohri station at the scheduled hour of 5:45 am. To go to Peshawar, the train would stop through Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
