Saudi Arabia has given Pakistan the second largest quota of Hajj pilgrims after allowing one million people to attend the holy pilgrimage this year. Up to 81,132 Pakistani pilgrims would be able to do Hajj in the Kingdom in 2022.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Kingdom will welcome 1 million pilgrims for Hajj this year, both domestic and international.
The Kingdom is dedicated, according to the ministry, to ensuring that as many Muslims as possible may do Hajj and visit the Prophet’s Mosque in a secure and spiritual environment.
The number of pilgrims traveling from specific countries for this year’s Hajj will be decided by quotas assigned to each country, as well as compliance with all health requirements.
People under the age of 65 who have obtained confirmed COVID-19 vaccines from the Saudi Ministry of Health are eligible to participate in the pilgrimage this year, according to the Saudi Ministry of Health.
Pilgrims who arrive from outside the Kingdom must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result within 72 hours of their arrival.
