Pakistan suffered 157 COVID-19 deaths on April 23, the highest fatalities recorded so far in the Country in a single day since the pandemic began wreaking havoc.
In the last 24 hours, Punjab recorded the most deaths with 98 followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which registered 37 deaths.
The Sindh province suffered 11 deaths from the virus, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 5, and Balochistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 3 each.
With an 11.27% positivity ratio, the Country also registered 5,908 new infections on April 23.
