In a significant move aimed at bolstering economic ties, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance the volume of bilateral trade and investment across various sectors, including infrastructure and the digital economy.
This agreement was reached during a meeting between the Caretaker Minister for Commerce, Gohar Ejaz, and the Saudi Minister for Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, held in Riyadh.
During the meeting, Gohar Ejaz underscored the importance of strengthening trade relations with Saudi Arabia and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to making comprehensive efforts in this regard.
In response, the Saudi Minister of Commerce praised the ongoing efforts to fortify bilateral trade relations, emphasizing that Pakistanis are viewed as brothers, and Saudi Arabia’s doors are open to them.
A statement from the Commerce Ministry highlighted that Minister Gohar Ejaz is leading a business delegation to Saudi Arabia, showcasing the mutual commitment to fostering closer economic cooperation between the two nations.
This development signifies a promising step towards deepening the longstanding and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, aiming to create new avenues for trade, investment, and collaboration across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries.
