Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed the commitment of the Pakistan Army to support the capacity building of the Royal Saudi Land Forces.
This assurance came during a meeting between General Syed Asim Munir and Assistant Minister of Defence, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Major General (Engineer) Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi at GHQ in Rawalpindi.
The discussions centered on mutual interests and strategies to further strengthen bilateral defence collaboration, including areas such as defence production and military training.
The visiting dignitary commended Pakistan Army’s accomplishments and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and acknowledged its significant contributions to regional peace and stability.
The Saudi Assistant Defence Minister also participated in the 5th Meeting of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Defence Collaboration at GHQ, which was co-chaired by the Chief of General Staff of Pakistan Army.
During the meeting, challenges to global and regional security were discussed, along with their implications on Defence Forces. Recognizing the rapid advancements in modern technologies, both parties emphasized the importance of defence industrial cooperation in critical capabilities.
They reiterated their commitment to strengthening defence collaboration with a focused approach on specific capabilities in land, air, and sea domains. Concrete proposals were deliberated to achieve tangible objectives within specified timelines.
