Cricket Australia (CA) has officially put tickets on sale for the upcoming Prime Minister’s XI match against Pakistan at Manuka Oval scheduled from December 6 to 9, just before the first Test in Perth. The four-day red-ball fixture marks the return of the PM’s XI series under Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, following a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Albanese is set to meet with CA Chair of Selectors George Bailey and selector Tony Dodemaide to discuss the squad selection. This encounter will be the third in history between Pakistan and the Prime Minister’s XI, with previous matches held in 1990 and 2005. Albanese expressed excitement about facing the talented Pakistan squad in Canberra.
The PM’s XI match provides a rare opportunity for players to test their skills against international opposition, and the squad selection is expected to include strong and highly talented players.
