During a conference on Wednesday Prime Minister Imran Khan upon meeting the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Mahindra Rajapaksa had proposed to, establishing trade links much like the EU members. Further highlighted that both sides need to realize the $1 billion bilateral trade as well as the Memorandum of Understanding [MoU’s] signed for the cooperation in education and tourism.
Pakistan has offered a $50 million new credit line to Sri Lanka for cooperation in the field of defense and security.
