Ranked [9/12] in the tournament, Pakistan showcased grit and determination to overcome the No. 8-seeded hosts, taking control of Pool H in the men’s competition.

The match on the all-glass court thrilled the home crowd. Hong Kong’s Alex Lau gave the hosts an early lead with a hard-fought 64-minute victory against Pakistan’s Asim Khan. Lau secured the match 11-5, 7-11, 11-9, 11-13, 11-4, leaving Pakistan with a steep challenge.
