ISLAMABAD: According to the pavilion’s official Twitter account: At Expo 2020 Dubai, on Monday the Pakistan pavilion was awarded the BURJ CEO Award for “Best Pavilion Exterior Design,”.
Expo 2020 started on October 1st of last year. Pakistan’s foreign ministry announced last month that as of mid-February about a million visitors had visited the country’s pavilion.
The Pakistan Pavilion’s official Twitter account wrote, “We are happy to celebrate the award presented by Burj CEO for ‘Best Pavilion Exterior Design at Dubai Expo.”
Rashid Rana, the pavilion’s designer, was also awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
“The Pakistan Pavilion would also like to congratulate Mr. @RashidRanaRR, Pakistan’s most recognized artist and the pavilion’s exterior designer, on winning the Sitara -E- Imtiaz (citizen award) for his contributions in the area of fine art.”
