On Friday, Pakistan won one gold and two bronze medals at the South Asian Bodybuilding Championship in Male, Maldives.
Shahzad Qureshi of Pakistan won the gold medal in the 80 kg division, defeating two powerful Indian bodybuilders.
When Shehzad receives his well-deserved gold medal, Pakistan’s National Anthem and Green Flag fly high in the Maldives.
Shahzad Qureshi had previously won gold in the previous event. It was his second gold medal in the South Asian Bodybuilding Championship for Pakistan.
Ibrahim Khan of Pakistan won the bronze medal in the junior 75 kg division. Shahidullah of Pakistan took bronze in the 75 kg weight class.
Sohail Anwar, Secretary of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation, commended the three bodybuilders on their outstanding efforts.
The ceremony was also attended by Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Maldives and Maldives’ Sports Minister.
