Pakistan secured the silver medal in the inaugural World Beach Kabaddi Championship, held in Iran. The team narrowly lost to the host nation in the final, with Iran winning by six points, 45-41.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan dominated the semi-final, defeating Iraq 58-21 to reach the final. Teams from various countries, including Nepal, Turkmenistan, Denmark, Palestine, Kenya, Germany, and Lebanon, also participated in the tournament.
In preparation for the event, Pakistan’s national team underwent training at the Pakistan Sports Complex from September 25 to 30. The Secretary General of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation, Muhammad Sarwar Rana, highlighted the rigorous training aimed at enhancing the players’ performance for the championship.
The silver medal is a testament to Pakistan’s growing prowess in kabaddi on the international stage.
