President Dr. Arif Alvi says Pakistan is witnessing boom in religious tourism which is portraying positive image of the country.
He was addressing a two-day International Conference and Art Festival for Promoting Social Cohesion and Interfaith Harmony, titled ‘Budhism in Pakistan, History Archaeology, Art and Architecture’ in Islamabad today.
The President said the Government is taking several measures to promote religious tourism in the country.
He said people to people contact and religious tourism provide excellent platforms to further expand bilateral cooperation among the countries. He said Islam also preaches peace and affection and Pakistan believes in peaceful neighbourhood.
