The Pakistan women’s national football team will take on Saudi Arabia in a FIFA International Friendly match today at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, the Pakistan Football Federation announced.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Adeel Rizki, the team wrapped up a three-day training camp to prepare for this much-anticipated encounter. Rizki shared that all players are “injury-free and in good spirits,” despite the short preparation time.
This marks the team’s return to the international arena since their October match against Bangladesh during the SAFF Women’s Championship, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Acknowledging the absence of some key players, Rizki highlighted the opportunity for younger talent to step up. “The team has shown great commitment and focus,” he said on Friday. “Despite the challenges, we are ready to compete and make Pakistan proud.”
The friendly is set to kick off at 9:00 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time and is expected to be a competitive encounter, showcasing the progress of women’s football in the region.
